July is Showboat Season
Do you hear that? It's the sound of toes tapping. It must be Showboat season. The 54th annual season of Mississippi Melodie Showboat begins July 9th. Set on the banks of the Mississippi River, Showboat delights audiences with a vaudeville variety and musical show reminiscent of the riverboat shows of the late 1800's. Performances are held Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:30pm the last three weekends of July. This year's theme chronicles the trials of a down-and-out riverboat gambler, making his way upstream to a hot poker game in Grand Rapids. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the site prior to the show.
