homes at the Grand Rapids Public Library on Thursday April 2nd at 7:00
PM. Steven Clift, founder of e-Democracy, an internatiional
organization promoting online citizen involvement, will talk about the
e-Democracy project. E-democracy forums are non-partisan, community
based forums designed to provide an opportunity to hold civil
discussion about local issues and topics on the internet. Clift's
presentation is being spronsored by the Grand Rapids eDemocracy Team,
in cooperation with Grand Rapids Community Internet, the Grand Rapids
Regional Library and KAXE radio
Steven Clift is an online strategist and public speaker focused on the
use of the internet in democracy, governance and community. Steven
Cift will show how we can utilize the internet to fundementally
improve local democracy and citizen participation in our own
community. Steven Clift speaks with meaning, energy and enthusiasm
while providing accessible and useful information. Steven was listed
among "The 25 Who Are Changing the World of Internet and Politics" by
Politics Online. In addition Steve currently volunteers as the Board
Chair of Minnesota E-democracy.
