Tuesday November 4th - Don't forget to vote!

            If you still haven't decided who to vote for in the local elections, the library has extra copies of the Herald Review's Voters' Guide to local candidates.  We also have DVDs of the local candidate forums produced by ICTV.

            If you need to find your polling place, call your local County Auditor's office, or go to the MN Secretary of State's poll finder web page at: http://pollfinder.sos.state.mn.us/

 

Thursday November 6, 7 pm.  Wind Energy with Bob Conzemius of WindLogics.

 What part can wind energy play in the solution to the nation's energy problems?  Is it feasible for individuals to install wind turbines?  

 

Thursday November 6, 6:30 pm Bedtime Storytime! 

            Wear your jammies and slippers and curl up in the story circle to listen to a few good stories!

            First meeting of the Teen Book Club.  Meet in the Teen Universe room.

 

Thursday, November 13, 7 pm   "Make it Minnesotan!  A Taste of the Sesquicentennial" with Claire Plank.

            The new Sesquicentennial cookbook and the stories behind creating a statewide compilation of diverse recipes.  Cooks from Itasca County will demonstrate preparations of their recipes appearing in the book and will share samples. 

 

Saturday, November 15, 12:30-2:30 National Gaming Day!  Family Event

            All ages invited.  Play our board games or bring your own.  Play video games, too!  Hang out and have fun!

 

Thursday November 20^th Tellabration Celebration of Storytelling

            10 am Stories for Preschoolers at the Library

            10 am Stories for kids at the Library

            7:00 pm "Tall Tales, Folk Tales and Your Tales" for adults and older children at the Forest History Center.

 

Saturday, November 22^nd, 2:30-4:00 "Twilight" after hours for teens

            Celebrate the opening of the movie with fun, food and games! Win movie passes!

           

 

ECFE Book Times Continue Mondays 9:30 & 10:30

Storytimes for Preschoolers and their caregivers with games or crafts afterwards.
